HIGFLY is a research and development project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program, under the topic "Developing the next generation of renewable energy technologies".
HIGFLY aims to develop the next generation of technologies for the production of sustainable aviation fuel from abundant second generation feedstock.
The HIGFLY project will develop robust catalytic materials and sustainable solvents for the renewable energy sector, taking into consideration the complete value chain, from bio feedstock to bio fuel.
The consortium is formed by 9 partners from 4 countries. It covers expertise and knowledge along the entire value chain, including material technology development, bio refining and sustainable aviation fuel production and key players in the EU aviation sector.
HIGFLY will accelerate the commercialization of sustainable aviation fuels and increase their total share in the EU market, focusing on feedstock flexibility.
